Cooke Dough cupcake from Carolina Cupcakery seemed only necessary for the occasion! |
Yes! It's been 1 year since I opened my little Etsy shop I call Fairview Place (see the history behind the name here). It's been a great, but trying year. I've learned so much, stepped outside my comfort zone and am excited to see what the next 12 months has in store.
Here's a little breakdown of the past year at Fairview Place:
July I launched the store and had my first sale within days.
September I participated in the 30 Days of Lists sponsored by Amy and Kam, which drove loads of traffic to the blog and flickr page, also increasing followers and sales at the shop.
October Designed my first commissioned Baby Shower Invite.
December Participated in my very first Fairview Place craft show, with an extremely pleasing outcome.
January Launched this new blog and Facebook page, bought my first ad sponsorship at Pink Lemonade, and participate in my first International Package Project.
February The adorable and fantastic Kitsch opened and I started selling my button earrings, cards, memory games and felt food locally!
March Bought this and this vintage jewelry boxes and took a chance at refinishing them...sold within a couple months online!
April Starting sponsoring the charming local Mommy blog "Our Beach Baby."
May Gave my office a little facelift, had a much needed visit home with friends and family and participated in the Send Something Good package project.
June Set up a new consignment deal at the sweet Knapsack Consignment Boutique in Virginia Beach.
This year I'm hoping for 100+ sales on the web site, more consignment opportunities, freelance clients, craft shows and more great products to add to the Fairview Place line. But, for now, I'm going to go enjoy my anniversary cupcake! Cheers!
I'm tackling the second annual 92 Days of Summer list.
