#32: Go to a Wedding

I always thought I'd love to get married outside, under a big weeping willow tree. Have a barn-reception. Simple, down-to-Earth, pretty. Mike's cousin, Ricardo, got married in Harrisonburg last weekend and did just that. Kristin, the bride was like a whimsical fairy tale bride with a sprig of baby's breath in her hair. The bridesmaids wore the prettiest shade of mint green, they carried baby's breath bouquets and the guys were laid back with vests and rolled up sleeves.

There was a little quartet who played music throughout the ceremony and Ricardo's grandfather recited a reading. It was one of those weddings where you could tell the two were so happy, which warms my heart. The reception was held in a converted barn on the property. It was filled with tables of burlap, mason jars and vintage mix-matched place settings. The atmosphere was just gorgeous - the pictures just don't do it justice.

For dinner, we ate breakfast - #7 on the list - which was delicious! Quiche, boiled pears, roasted potatoes, biscuits and mimosas (Ricardo and Kristin must have seen my list!).

We made the trip with Kelly Jo, Randy and Thomas. He was such a doll the whole time! We danced and I sang to him and even fed him for the first time. Practice makes perfect (I hope). Love this shot of him in this field next to the reception.

After eight weddings together, it never gets old!
